WEBAC 240 Bseal – is a four-component acrylic gel. Its components A1 and A2 are identical to the corresponding components of the standard WEBAC 240 gel, which is used with the addition of water.The essential technical and qualitative difference between WEBAC 240 Bseal and the standard gel lies in the modified formulation of Component B. In the standard acrylic gel WEBAC 240, Component B consists of a powdered salt (1.0 kg, with an A1/A2 set of 21.5/1.05 kg) that is pre-dissolved in water in a volume equal to the total volume of Components A1 and A2, i.e. 22.55 L of water. In the WEBAC 240 Bseal version, the gel Component B is formed from:

  • a reduced amount of salt—from 0.1 to 1.0 kg (compared to the standard formulation), without the need for prior dissolution in water (the salt is added directly to the Bseal component);
  • a new polymer-modified component Bseal I or Bseal II with a mass of 20 kg.

In fact, this means replacing the aqueous salt solution with a stabilized polymer component, which significantly changes the mechanical, deformation and performance properties of the acrylic gel. WEBAC 240.

Application:

WEBAC 240 + Bseal I

  • Sealing of damaged waterstops;
  • Sealing of building elements partially or fully embedded in soil;
  • Application in underground and transport structures, including tunnels, sewer collectors, bridges, and basements;
  • Sealing of pipelines and construction joints between pipes;
  • Sealing of movement (expansion) joints.

WEBAC 240 + Bseal II

  • Sealing of pipelines and construction joints between them;
  • Execution of veil (curtain) injection;
  • Sealing of outdated or damaged waterproofing systems integrated into building structures in contact with soil;
  • Sealing of movement (expansion) joints.

Properties:

WEBAC 240 + Bseal I

  • Very high adhesion to dry, moist, and water-saturated substrates, as well as to sealing membranes and various building materials;
  • High shape stability after curing;
  • Limited volume increase upon contact with water;
  • Minimal volume loss during drying;
  • Reduced salt content.

WEBAC 240 + Bseal II

  • Very high flexibility and ability to withstand significant deformations;
  • Adjustable processing and crosslinking time (according to the table);
  • Very high relative elongation at break;
  • Very slight volume increase upon contact with water;
  • Minimal volume loss during drying;
  • Reduced salt content.

Mixing

Components A and B are mixed in a 1:1 ratio by volume. A single-component pump is used for injection works.

Storage

WEBAC 240 Bseal must be stored at temperatures from +5 °C to +30 °C in the original, tightly closed containers, protected from moisture.

Safety measures

Safety instructions must be available to all persons responsible for occupational safety, health, and safe handling of materials. Processing and cleaning operations must be carried out using personal protective equipment, including protective clothing, gloves, and safety goggles. The use of protective skin cream is recommended. In case of skin contact, wash off with soap and water. If the material gets into the eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention without delay.

Waste disposal

Empty containers may be disposed of at municipal solid waste landfills in accordance with applicable acceptance requirements and conditions. Return of containers to the manufacturer or shipping warehouses is not provided.
